Hurricane Katrina Disaster Relief

A Scout is Helpful

Recovering from the devastation of Hurricane Katrina will take years. The effects will be felt by every person in every community in America. The Boy Scouts of America is providing this flyer in an effort to give you information on how you and your family can help the victims of Hurricane Katrina.

Donate to disaster relief agencies that are helping:

  • American Red Cross 1-800-Help-Now give.redcross.org
To donate by mail, send checks to American Red Cross, P.O. Box 37243, Washington, DC 20013

  • Salvation Army 1-800-SAL-ARMY www.salvationarmyusa.org
To donate by mail, send checks, 'Disaster Relief,' P.O. Box 4857, Jackson, MI 39296-4857
There are many other worthwhile agencies doing relief work, including churches and governmental agencies.

At this point , money is what these vital agencies need most. As time goes on other needs such as food and clothing may be needed, and Scouting will continue to help fulfill these needs.

The victims of Hurricane Katrina thank you for your help!
